The Boathouse Hotel is a small, friendly and informal family-run hotel, bar and restaurant with sea and mountain views, surrounded by nature and walks and situated directly on the Anglesey Coastal Path and Newry Beach promenade. The former farmhouse — ancient enough to retain a priest hole — has been significantly renovated: a quirky, characterful old place done comfortably.

The location is the town’s best: the harbour in front, the breakwater a shore walk away, the Maritime Museum along the prom, and the ferry terminal ten minutes on foot — making it the natural first and last night either side of an Irish crossing. Bar and restaurant serve residents and walkers alike, with the view included. See also our hotels guide.
